Cafebabel.com is proud to celebrate womanhood in 2008 via the making of a special flickr profile www.flickr.com created by Erika Lastovskyte, from our Vilnius team, dedicated to all the wonderful Babelian women who contribute and belong to the cafebabel.com community.Often perceived as natural communicators, women are more and more involved in journalism as correspondents or media makers, reinforcing equality between women and men in the field
of European Journalism. At cafebabel.com, women have taken a leading role in providing citizens with a transeuropean vision of European news. Meet just a few of them on flickr by entering "women" and "cafebabel.com" in the search engine and discover why they have decided to get involved in cafebabel.com- if too lazy, simply click here.

From Rome, to Brussels, through Dubai and Sofia, these special and talented European women shape European media as we know it.
Ladies, this is your day- thank you for being you.

Congratulations to all our women... you know that according to the survey we had in 2007, our readership is equally men/women while the majority of news media are mostly read by men? This means we are a quite egalitarian media... by the way in the Paris HQ women are more than 60% of the team!
There's one particularly femine babelian figure lacking... Where does the famous author of eurotik.cafebabel.com hide ??
Very good point Chakal!
I think it is not too late and she will appear sooner or later, as all those dears, who did not take a hand in this initiative yet
I am sure we have more women to be proud of.
