To celebrate the launch of our online community, the network of cafebabel.com’s local editors is organising launch events all over Europe, starting in mid-October.
From Paris to Prague, with stops in Lisbon, Brussels, and Tallinn, cafebabel.com will introduce its community to the Very Important Babelians (VIBs)—cafebabel.com’s friends, as well as journalists, partners, bloggers, and long-time supporters.
What is the community?
- 2,070 Babelians have already enlarged our membership network, and have created their profiles online.
- More than 50 Babel blogs by European authors have been launched: check out “EuroGeneration”, “EuroBar”, or the really mischievous “Eurotica”, among many others—not to be missed!
- The last part of the community is the babelforums— a true European platform for debates in 7 languages.
Now that we have the community, the beginning of the 2007 – 2008 school year is looking good for cafebabel.com. But we’ve got plenty of other projects running around in our heads, such as the setting up of “Babel Reporters”—a collective of European reporters—or the launch, scheduled for May 2008, of the new site.
To find out more, get in touch with the editorial offices of cafebabel.com in your city—and ask for an invitation.
